Reishi Mushrooms | Mushroom Learning Center Kolhapur

#Reishi #mushroom is a  # fungus . Some people describe it as "tough" and "woody" with a bitter taste. The above-ground part and portions of the below-ground parts are used as  # medicine . #Reishi mushroom is used for cancer, aging, boosting the immune system to prevent or treat infections, and for many other reasons, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. In combination with other herbs,  # reishi  mushroom is used to treat  # prostate  cancer. Also in combination with other ingredients, reishi #mushroom may be used for viruses, such as the human papilloma virus (HPV), genital herpes, and cold sores. # mushroom  learning center kolhapur https://www.facebook.com/biobritte.agro https://www.mushroom-food.in/ Phone:9923806933

Mushroom spawn | Mushroom learning center kolhapur

Mushroom  # spawn  is simply any substance that has been inoculated with mycelium, the vegetative growth of a fungus.  # Mycelium , a thread-like collection of cells, is to a #mushroom like an apple tree is to an apple. You need to have one as the base for producing the other. The spawn is used to transfer mycelium onto any material from which  # mushrooms  will grow, called a substrate. mushroom substrate | Mushroom learning center kolhapur

Cereal  # straws  such as wheat, rye, and oat all make a good base for mushroom growth. They're easy to get and fairly cheap. I buy mine in large bales from a local feed store. A big advantage of #straw is that it can be used to grow many different types of mushrooms. Most mushrooms have no problem breaking down the plant fibers of straw, making it a versatile   # substrate . A disadvantage of #straw is that it should be prepared first, especially if you're growing mushrooms indoors. #Straw is laden with other microbes, and if you don't get rid of those tiny competitors the #mushroom mycelium may not have a chance to grow. Straw is treated by a variety of methods, usually heat pasteurization. Mushroom Substrate Sterilization | Mushroom Learning Center Kolhapur

To avoid contaminations in straw we need to sterilize or pasteurize straw. Then we can pack bags Once the substrate is ready for packing which will be called as growing bag. This kind of packing is very cost effective and you can get high yield of oyster #mushrooms. These bags can be of 1 to 10 kg of substrate. But we prefer 3 kg substrate bags. Growing bags with 3 kģ substrate can yield 1-1.3 kg of oyster #mushrooms. Sometimes it goes much higher. Stay tuned here. What are oyster mushrooms?

Oyster mushrooms are one of the most popular edible mushrooms and belong to the genus Pleurotus and the family Pleurotaceae.  They were was first cultivated in Germany as a subsistence measure during World War I and is now grown commercially around the world for food.  Oyster mushroom is one of the more commonly sought wild mushrooms, though it can also be cultivated on straw and other media.  It often has the scent of anise due to the presence of benzaldehyde (which smells more like almonds).
