Flammulina velutipes-Enokitake

Flammulina velutipes is a highly regarded mushroom, especially in Japan where it is called Enokitake or Enoki (the English pronunciation for Enokitake /ɪˌnoʊkiˈtɑːkeɪ/)(榎茸, エノキタケ, Japanese pronunciation: [enokitake], also enokidake (榎茸, エノキダケ, Japanese pronunciation: [enokidake]. The farmed and commercial form is represented by a long, thin white mushroom.  The cultivated form is a popular ingredient for soups, especially in the East Asian cuisine, but can be used for salads and other dishes.  The mushroom has a crisp texture and can be refrigerated for approximately one week.  The farmed form is also known as golden needle mushroom, futu mushroom or lily mushroom. The farmed F. velutipes is usually commercialized fresh or canned. The wild forms differ in color, texture, and sliminess and may be called futu, seafood mushrooms, winter mushrooms or wi...

Pleurotus eryngii-King Oyster Mushrooms

Pleurotus eryngii (also known as king trumpet mushroom, French horn mushroom, king oyster mushroom, king brown mushroom, boletus of the steppes, trumpet royale, aliʻi oyster) is an edible mushroom native to Mediterranean regions of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, but also grown in many parts of Asia. P. eryngii is the largest species in the oyster mushroom genus, Pleurotus, which also contains the oyster mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus. It has a thick, meaty white stem and a small tan cap (in young specimens).  Its natural range extends from the Atlantic Ocean through the Mediterranean Basin and Central Europe into Western Asia and India.  Unlike other species of Pleurotus, which are primarily wood-decay fungi, the P. eryngii complex are also weak parasites on the roots of herbaceous plants, although they may also be cultured on organic wastes. The Pleurotus Eryngii  mushroom has antioxidants that help to keep disease away.  The antioxidant in this mushroom co...

Pleurotus sajor-caju- Grey Indian Oyster Mushroom

Pleurotus is also one of the important edible mushrooms gaining popularity in recent years.  It is found growing naturally on dead organic materials rich in cellulose.  Its several species are edible such as P. sajor-caju, P. sapidus, P.flabellatus, P. ostriatus, P. corticatus, P.jlorida, etc.  These species can be cultured successfully on various agricultural, domestic, industrial and forestry waste materials.  It is very versatile in nature as far as substrate reference and growth are concerned.  However, it can be grown on paddy straw, gunny bags, rice husk, copped Parthenium stem, etc. The steps for cultivation of dhingri start with preparation of substrate for growth. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Biobritte Agro India -Spawn Supply -Mushroom supply -Mushroom Spawn Exporter -Mushroom Exporter -Mushroom Consultant -Mushroom Trainings -Contact: 9923806933, 9673510343 -Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/biobri...

Morchella conica-black morels

Morchella conica is an old binomial name previously applied to species of fungi in the Morchellaceae family.  It is one of three scientific names that had been commonly used to describe black morels, the others being M. angusticeps and M. elata.  It was first introduced by mycologist Christian Hendrik Persoon in 1818,  as a superfluous name for the old taxon Morchella continua. According to Richard and colleagues, Fries’ sanctioning applies only at the subgeneric level and the name is illegitimate. Throughout the years, the name M. conica has been invariably applied to many different species by different authors, and DNA analysis in 2014 revealed that morels identified as "M. conica" indeed belonged to Morchella deliciosa, Morchella purpurascens, Morchella tridentina, and Morchella vulgaris. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Biobritte Agro India -Spawn Supply -Mushroom supply -Mushroom Spawn Exporter -Mushroom Exporter -Mush...

Lentinula edodes-Shittake Mushrooms

The shiitake (/ʃɪˈtɑːkeɪ, ˌʃiːɪ-, -ki/;[1] Japanese: [ɕiːtake] (About this soundlisten) Lentinula edodes) is an edible mushroom native to East Asia, which is cultivated and consumed in many Asian countries.  It is considered a medicinal mushroom in some forms of traditional medicine. Shiitake grow in groups on the decaying wood of deciduous trees, particularly shii, chestnut, oak, maple, beech, sweetgum, poplar, hornbeam, ironwood, mulberry, and chinquapin.  Its natural distribution includes warm and moist climates in southeast Asia. In a 100 gram amount, raw shiitake mushrooms provide 34 calories and are 90% water, 7% carbohydrates, 2% protein and less than 1% fat (table for raw mushrooms). Raw shiitake mushrooms are rich sources (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) of B vitamins and contain moderate levels of some dietary minerals (table).  When dried to about 10% water, the contents of numerous nutrients increase substantially. Like all mushrooms, shiitakes produce vit...

Schizophyllum commune-Split Gill Mushroom

Schizophyllum commune is a species of fungus in the genus Schizophyllum.  The mushroom resembles undulating waves of tightly packed corals or loose chinese fan. ”Gillies” or Split Gills vary from creamy yellow to pale white in colour. The cap is small, 1–4.5 cm wide with a dense yet spongey body texture.  It is known as the split-gill mushroom because of the unique longitudinally divided nature of the gill producing basidospores, which often splits when they dry out and moistened into gills as they shed into spores. It is the only known fungi capable of retracting by movement. This mushroom is found predominantly in Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Nigeria and Northeastern India.  It is found in the wild on decaying trees after rainy seasons followed by dry spells where the mushrooms are naturally collected.  It is known for its high medicinal value and aromatic taste profile.  It has recently attracted the medicinal industry for its immunomod...
